CORVALLIS - The Seaside High School Symphonic Band captured second place at  the Oregon State Band Finals in Corvallis May 9.

This was the seventh appearance in a row for the band as the Cowapa League winner and the second year in a row that the band placed second at State.

Warrenton High School captured second in the 3A competiton.

Here are the results from the OSAA:

4A Band Division

1st - Douglas High School, Directed by Bob Carwithen - 297 points

2nd - Seaside High School, Directed by Terry Dahlgren - 290 points

3rd - Klamath Union High School, Directed by Drew Langley - 282 points

4th - Gladstone High School, Directed by David Kays - 277 points


3A Band Division

1st - Corbett High School, Directed by Tim Killgore - 273 points

2nd - Warrenton High School, Directed by Michael McClure - 268 points

3rd - Pleasant Hill High School, Directed by Jonathan Light - 264 points
