“Old Mac,” the antique fire truck the Seaside Volunteer Fire Department uses for special occasions, led the procession of emergency vehicles from throughout Clatsop County to the Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton Monday. The procession was in honor of Glenn Bard, 79, of Seaside, who died May 9. Bard was a perennial volunteer for community organizations, including 50 years with the Seaside Fire Department. Those attending a memorial service for Bard Monday recalled his gentleness and kindness. “He had only one fault,” said a fellow firefighter. “He couldn’t say no to anyone.”
