Area residents soon will receive donation requests for Seaside Kids, Inc in their mail, as the nonprofit organization’s annual membership drive gets underway.

The drive is the major funding source for programs that serve youth from kindergarten through high school in South County. Nearly 600 kids participate in baseball, softball, free swim days and football and volleyball clinics for students in the third to sixth grade.

All kids play for free in these programs, and all coaches and directors are unpaid volunteers.

Every resident will receive the membership information in the mail within the next few days. The green lettering on the Seaside Kids, Inc. envelope will be addressed to “Our Friends” and includes information about the program and how to make a donation.

Seaside Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, and all contributions are tax deductible. For more information, call John Morris, president, at 503-738-8621.
