SEASIDE- U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will host a town hall meeting from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Seaside City Hall, 989 Broadway Drive.

The nonpartisan open forum will give people a chance to voice questions and concerns about community and state issues as well as pending federal legislation. The meetings are part of Wyden's original 1996 campaign, when he promised to hold a town hall meeting in every Oregon county each year. Since being elected, he has held more than 300 meetings.

Seaside Mayor Don Larson hopes people will attend the meeting to promote Seaside's growth and development.

"I really want this to be a Seaside town hall," Larson said. "We want to show him that we're moving aggressively in the Seaside area. He's extremely easy to talk to and very interested in Oregon, so I would encourage people to come and air their views on anything in this area."

Wyden will also host two other town hall meetings Tuesday. He will be at the Columbia Learning Center, 375 S. 18th St., in St. Helens from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and at the Tillamook County Courthouse, 201 Laurel Avenue, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
