SEASIDE -The city of Seaside is doing more than bringing extra police to town to cope with spring break: It is offering safe, fun activities for students, many of which are free.

• Java Jams for teens, 1140 E. Broadway, 9 to 11 p.m. today and March 25. Free.

• Seaside Youth Center, 1140 E. Broadway, 3:30 to 7 p.m. today and March 25, 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday and March 26. Free.

• Open gym, Broadway Middle School, 1120 E. Broadway, 7 to 11 p.m. today, Saturday, March 25 and 26. Free.

• Sunset Pool, 1140 E. Broadway, 7 to 11 p.m. today, Saturday, March 25 and 26, 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Special Olympics car wash, Seaside Chamber of Commerce, 7 N. Roosevelt Drive, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and March 26

• Skate fest, Seaside Chamber, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Free.

• Bicycle friendly event, Seaside Chamber, 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Free.

• Teen concert, Seaside Convention Center, 415 First St., 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday. For ages 15 and older. Bands are Alter Ego, Dream Warriors, Atraea and Death to a Gun Fighter. Free.

• Egg hunt on the beach with sand games, in front of Broadway Drive, 10:30 a.m. March 26.

• Aquatic treasure dive, Sunset pool, 1140 Broadway, 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 26. Free.
