SEASIDE - Help teach your children safety with a free "Let's Play It Safe" coloring book available at the Seaside Police Department.

The 29-page book covers topics like gun, fire, electricity, poison, street and bicycle safety. Several pages are dedicated to teaching kids to stay home alone safely and avoid strangers. It encourages kids to wear their seat belts, obey school bus drivers and say "no" to alcohol and drugs.

The book recommends that parents read the pages with their children to answer questions about safety and make sure they understand the concepts presented.

The coloring books are available at the Seaside Police Department, 1091 S. Holladay Drive during lobby hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
