The Seaside Police Department invites Seaside residents to join them and over 15,000 other communities on Tuesday August 6th to promote a police community partnership; crime, drug, and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity. Over 37 million people throughout the country and our military bases are expected to participate this year. Seaside residents have the opportunity be a part of this national event and join their friends and neighbors in celebrating this “30th Annual National Night Out” crime prevention event.

This is the 8th year for this event in Seaside and it will again be held at Broadway Park and Cartwright Park. The Rotary Club of Seaside and Seaside Kiwanis will provide free hotdogs, hamburgers, chip, drinks and a whole lot of fun. Sunset Park and Recreation will be there too providing games for the kids complete with prizes. The Seaside Chamber of Commerce will be furnishing desert and sponsoring numerous prizes throughout the evening.

As Chief Bob Gross explains; “This is your chance to talk with an officer, ask questions, and find out what’s going on in your community”. Officers will be at each park to provide crime prevention information and provide information about drug activity, identity theft, or any other topic you concern you or your family.

Take this opportunity to spend some time with your friends, meet your neighbors, learn more about crime prevention and get a free meal. Dinner is on us Tuesday August 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. so pick the park closest to you and be a part of National Night Out.
