The Sunset Empire Transportation District will be making several route and schedule changes beginning Aug. 18 as part of SETDs effort to improve transit service throughout the area.
Upcoming changes will combine the weekday Route 30 and the weekend Connector Route into a new Route 30, which will provide service two times a day (7 days a week) from Warrenton/Hammond to Astoria and along U.S. Highway 30 with stops in Svensen, Knappa, Westport, Clatskanie, Rainier, Longview and Kelso. The Route 30 will continue to connect with Columbia County Rider at Rainier twice a day.
Route 20 will increase weekday (Monday thru Friday) connections with Tillamook County Transportation from two to three times a day by also meeting the Tillamook Bus in Manzanita each morning.
Midday service to Hammond will be added to the Route 10 schedule.
For information, and to view the proposed route schedules and the proposed Route 30 bus fares, go to www.ridethebus.org or pick up printed copies of the proposed schedules and proposed fares at SETD Transit Center, 900 Marine Drive.
