Seventy-five $2,000 scholarships are available for Spanish-speaking, bicultural high school students hoping to pursue careers in the health care industry.

High school seniors with a 3.0 minimum grade point average and who are fluent in Spanish and English are eligible for the scholarships, which are funded by the PacifiCare Foundation and offered through the UnitedHealthcare Latino Health Scholars program.

Applicants must show proof of acceptance into a community college, university or other accredited technical college, and they must be enrolled in an approved health care program when they receive the scholarships.

Applications are due May 29 and are available online at pacificare
