Clatsop County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Tom Bergin will present a class on identifying illegal drugs Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Knappa High School library.

The class is open to anyone, with emphasis for school administrators, teachers and parents. Bergin will describe various drugs and their common names, physical, emotional and mental effects from the drugs, how illegal drugs are obtained and the impact of illegal drugs on a family and community. Admission is free.
