The Clatsop County Sheriff's Office will host a town hall meeting for John Day-area residents Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the John Day Fire Hall.

Chief Deputy Tom Bergin, resident deputies Mike Nelson and Barbara Odoms and District Attorney Josh Marquis will give an update on deputy patrols and talk about crime prevention, legal rights and community concerns. There will be a question-and-answer period.

In addition, road crew foremen Mike Agalzoff and Ted McLean from the Public Works Department will talk about upcoming projects.
