Seaview restaurant has received honor for 11 consecutive yearsSEAVIEW, Wash. - The Shoalwater Restaurant in the Shelburne Inn, has been included in Zagat Survey's recently-released guidebook, "America's Top Restaurants 2005." This marks the 11th consecutive year that The Shoalwater has received the designation in the national restaurant-goer's survey.

The guide covers 1,383 restaurants in 41 major United States markets. The Shoalwater is included among restaurants in and around the Seattle area. Out of a possible 30 points,

The Shoalwater has been awarded 26 for food (which also places it in the Top 20 ranking for the region), 24 for decor and 26 for service.

"Owner Tony Kischner treats you and your appetite right," writes one surveyor.

Others praise the restaurant's "fabulous Northwest cuisine." Overall, the Shoalwater is rated an "outstanding" experience.

"Quite frankly," says Kischner, "my wife (and co-owner/pastry chef) Ann and I are extremely pleased and pretty blown away that we continue to be so well rated by this discerning group of 'foodies,' particularly given the constantly-expanding field of fine eating establishments in which we are playing these days. Great credit goes to our chef of six years, 'Red' Pelletier, as well as to our caring and committed kitchen and dining room staff."

The Shoalwater Restaurant and The Shelburne Inn will also be featured during the Nov. 27 edition of KING-TV's series, Northwest Backroads.
