SEASIDE - Clatsop County Commissioner Ann Samuelson arrived recently at the South County Food Pantry in Seaside with a donation of processed pork recently purchased from the Clatsop County Fair 4-H Livestock Auction. The animal had been raised by Tavia Niehouse, a member of the Nehalem Valley Adventurers 4-H Club, and processed into approximately 220 pounds of pork, packaged and ready for distribution from the Pantry.
This is the second donation to the Food Pantry by Commissioner Samuelson. During the Christmas food drive facilitated by Arbor Care Tree Service, she donated her Clatsop County $800 monthly stipend toward those efforts. The Seaside Food Pantry serves approximately 1,200 families per month.
