Lewis and Clark are coming to town, again! This time it is a caravan of square dancers following the Lewis and Clark Trail, on their way to the 54th National Square Dance Convention in Portland. The caravan will be rolling in to the Clatsop County Fairgrounds Sunday afternoon. Their encampment will last until Wednesday morning when they will proceed on to Portland, just in time for the start of the Nationals.

While here, they will enjoy a breakfast and supper put on by the local Hayshaker Square Dance club. Additionally, there will be a casual square dance starting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and a regular square dance called by Scott Zinser and cued by Debbie Taylor at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Both dances will be at the fairgrounds.

All square dancers are invited to attend the dance; nondancers are also welcome to watch the happenings. For further information, call 861-2726.
