Tenants are quickly filling up St. Helens newest commercial mall.
Construction of the two-building Gable Road Market Place on the city's south end was completed at the end of September.
Since then, three businesses have opened their doors Butterfly Life, a women's workout center; Starbucks, and Great Clips. Two others are scheduled to open in November Entreé and Subway.
Gary Gilbert of Atlas Development of Portland, the mall's developer, said he expects the eight-store complex to be filled by early 2008.
"The whole process from design to construction has gone very smoothly. The response from the community has been fabulous and we've gotten excellent tenants," Gilbert said.
He estimated the cost of the construction project at "about $2 million."
"The project came in on time and on budget," he added.
Gable Road Market Place is located on Gable Road just off of U.S. 30 across from Wal-Mart.
