Warrenton senior Shaena Stabler was named the Northwest League softball Player of the Year, in a recent vote of league coaches.

Stabler was one of three Warriors selected to the NWL's first team, which included a pair of Knappa players.

Logger seniors Jessica Ho and Toni Ramvick were both named all-league, following productive seasons that helped Knappa advance to the state semifinals.

Stabler was the starting catcher for the Warriors and one of the top hitters in the NWL in 2002. Her pitcher - sophomore Stacey Moore - was one of two pitchers selected to the first team, along with Jeannette Jones of Corbett.

Warrenton's Grace Smith, a sophomore who started at third base in her first year of softball for the Warriors, was one of four infielders selected to the first team.
