SEASIDE – The cost to enjoy the open swims at Sunset Pool in Seaside will cost more beginning today, June 1.

The Sunset Empire Parks and Recreation District will raise the drop-in fee for district residents from 50 cents per swim to $1. Out-of-district swimmers will see the open swim cost increase from $2.50 to $3.50 per swim.

The cost for open swim passes will not change. In-district users will continue to pay $10 and out-of-district users pay $15.

The in-district open swim fee has not been adjusted since 2005 when it was reduced from $2 to 50 cents.

The open swim fee increases are necessary to help cover the cost of the pool operation.

General admission prices at the pool will remain at $2.50 for in-district users and $5 for those living out of the district.

Sunset Pool is located at 1140 Broadway in Seaside. For more details, call (503) 738-3311.
