MTC Works is pleased to announce that its Tillamook office manager, Susie Godsey, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Rural Development Initiatives, Inc.
Since 1992, Susie has been active in community capacity-building, economic development, and education both as a volunteer and as staff in several organizations, including the SMART early literacy program and the Tillamook County Futures Council and its non-profit Foundation. A graduate of the RDI Rural Futures Forum and the Northwest Regional Leadership Training, she has served on a number of non-profit boards and was a founding member of the Tillamook County Arts Network.
Based in Eugene, RDI is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping rural communities maintain their vitality and shape their futures. For nearly 15 years, RDI has worked with rural leaders and volunteers to expand the knowledge, skills and networks to build strong communities that foster opportunity.
MTC Works, one of Management and Training Corporation's innovative workforce development initiatives, operates employment and training programs in Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook counties. With more than 40 staff and multiple state, federal and private funding sources, MTC Works each year provides services to more than 2000 participants and numerous employers on the North Coast.
