The Clatsop County Board of Property Tax Appeals will consider 364 petitions appealing local property assessments during hearings March 17, 18 and 24. Of the petitions, 321 were for the Trendwest resort in Seaside.

The Board of Property Tax Appeals considers of three local residents who don't hold public office or work for a taxing agency. They volunteer their time and are appointed by the county commissioners. Members completed a one-day training in February.

The sessions will be held at 800 Exchange St. in the third-floor conference room and will start at 9:30 a.m. each day. Specific hearing agendas identifying petitioners will be posted 48 hours before each session in the main lobby of 820 Exchange St., in 800 Exchange St. and on the county Web site at ( under Clerk and Elections.
