A little heads-up from the dance world: Elizabeth Miner, pictured above in a photo by Erik Tomasson dancing in "The Sleeping Beauty," is a soloist with the San Francisco Ballet and a native of Warrenton. She is home on break from performances and teaching at her hometown studio, Maddox Dance Studio, where she studied from age 6 until being accepted to the New York City Ballet School at age 15 while a freshman at Warrenton High School. She was featured in the title role in "Sylvia," and was nationally acclaimed by the press for her performances.

She returns next week to San Francisco to start rehearsals for the fall season.
