A one-vehicle crash early Friday morning on State Highway 130 in Tillamook County killed a 51-year-old Tillamook woman and seriously injured her 26-year-old son. Oregon State Police said Bobbi A. Thompson was driving west when her small car drifted over the fog line and down an embankment, landing on some large rocks near the Little Nestucca River. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Timothy Thompson, also of Tillamook, was ejected from the car. He survived and was air-lifted to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital.

The vehicle could not be seen from the highway and was found late Friday morning by an acquaintance, who contacted 9-1-1. Members of the Oregon State Police, Tillamook Worksite are investigating the crash. The Tillamook County Sheriff's Department and Nestucca Valley Fire Rescue personnel provided assistance at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
