On Feb. 15, the drawing was held at half-time during a varsity boys basketball game at Astoria High School for the recent "Field of Dreams" campaign conducted by the Astoria High School to raise funds for a multi-sport field.

Leslie Claterbos received the good news from a friend, Angie Hunt, that she was the winner of a new 2008 Toyota Corolla. The car was donated by Lum's Auto Center to Astoria High School to use in their campaign to raise money to convert John Warren Field into a multi-sport field capable of supporting sports such as softball, soccer, football events and more.

The Lums' donation of the car brought in more than $26,000 in ticket sales, which will go toward the planned facility upgrade. The winning ticket was purchased for Claterbos and her husband, Jason Palmberg, by her in-laws, Mike and Marian Soderberg, and placed in Claterbos' Christmas stocking as a gift from Santa.
