Cannon Beach Bible Church will host Julius Twongyeirwe, founder and national director of The Proclamation Task in Uganda, on Sunday, April 14, at the church, 264 E. Hills Lane.

He will speak in English at the regular Sunday service at 10:45 a.m. He also will speak at the Spanish-speaking evening service at 7. The public is invited to both talks.

Twongyeirwe will bring his perspective on the challenges of understanding the Bible and living a biblical lifestyle within a culture of great diversity. His stories of Uganda will describe an unfamiliar culture that illustrates how people can apply lessons learned from his country to their daily lives.

Besides his duties with The Proclamation Task in Uganda, Twongyeirwe also serves as a ministry overseer of the Berea Baptist Church in Kampala, as deputy chairman of Uganda Evangelical Ministry Agency and as a board member of Word of Life Uganda.

He and his wife, Grace, are parents to four children.

A fellowship time will follow each of Twongyeirwe's talks, providing an opportunity for individual questions and answers with him.

“He’s a wonderful, personable speaker with great stories to share,” said Steven Hudgik, member Cannon Beach Bible Church’s deacon board. “I would love to see people of all backgrounds come and hear him.”
