Next week Clatsop County Road Crews will perform road reconstruction on Ziak-Gnat Creek Lane, and will continue work on the Youngs River Road drainage project. Herbicide spraying is scheduled for Astoria areas, and brush chopping will take place in the Hamlet area.

Also next week Oregon Department of Transportation will continue work on the Astoria Bridge. The project involves recoating the steel on the northern and southern sides of the Columbia River bridge along U.S. 101 north of Astoria.
The scheduled work includes coating structural steel above and below the bridge deck. There will be a 35 mph speed limit and flaggers will control single-lane traffic. In addition, the signalized intersection at the north end of the bridge will be turned off and controlled by flaggers. Lane delays of up to 20 minutes will be allowed anytime on weekdays and weekends.
On the southern side, work includes the installation of temporary traffic control devices and installation of work-area containment. Flaggers will control single-lane traffic and lane delays of up to 20 minutes will be allowed anytime on weekdays and weekends.
On Oregon Highway 202 (Nehalem Highway), a crew will work on a project that consists of replacing the Nehalem River (Banzer) bridge just east of the junction with Oregon Highway 103 (Fish Hawk Highway).
Work will include construction of the concrete bridge deck along with rebuilding the roadway. Traffic has been switched over to the new side of the bridge and roadway alignment.
Temporary traffic signals will control single lane traffic through the project area along the new roadway alignment 24 hours a day. Flaggers will control single lane traffic; expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
