This week, Clatsop County crews will be doing road work in preparation for asphalt paving on Cullaby Lake Lane, fog sealing on Perkins Lane, weather permitting, herbicide spraying in the Jewell District and replacing a drainage culvert on Svensen Market Road.

On Tuesday, there will be asphalt paving on Cullaby Lake Lane.

The Ensign Lane Road construction contractor will continue doing pavement work at the Old Highway 101 Business intersection next week. There will be intermittent lane closures that will be controlled by flaggers. There may be up to 20 minute traffic delays, so motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and to use caution when driving through work zones.

Also next week the Oregon Department of Transportation will continue work on the Astoria Bridge. The project involves recoating the steel above the bridge deck on the southern side of the Columbia River bridge along U.S. 101 north of Astoria.

The scheduled work includes preparing and painting the bridge steel above the bridge deck. Flaggers will control single lane traffic. Lane delays of up to 20 minutes will be allowed anytime on weekdays and weekends. 

ODOT crews will also be replacing a culvert with a bridge along U.S. Highway 30 at Mill Creek, just east of Astoria between mile posts 94.42 and 95.11.

Work will include construction of the new stream channel. Traffic has been switched over to the new roadway alignment. Flaggers will control single lane traffic. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
