The Warrenton Police Department's K-9 Justice died Thursday of cancer in Warrenton. Justice worked the streets of Warrenton and Clatsop County with his handler, Sgt. Cliff Busiest for 81/2 years.

Justice was purchased from Texas sin 1996 with funds donated to the police department by local businesses and private citizens. He was named through a "name the dog " contest at Warrenton Grade School.

Justice had 106 captures over his career, and assisted tracking bank robbers to finding lost children in Clatsop, Tillamook and Columbia counties and Pacific County, Wash. His first capture was a motor vehicle thief in Astoria and his last was a wanted subject in the Sunset Beach area, just a few weeks ago.
