PORTLAND - The Warrenton softball team hit the road Tuesday, and returned with a 13-3, 15-5 sweep over Portland Adventist in a Lewis & Clark League doubleheader.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Warrenton, but was moved to Portland.
Warrenton collected 13 hits in Game 1, including a 3-for-3 effort for Hannah Burkhart, while Emma Bussert and Samantha Larsen each had two hits.
Winning pitcher Brooklyn Campbell allowed just two hits in five innings, with four strikeouts and four walks.
Bussert went 3-for-4 in Game 2 and MaryLynn Ahrensbach added a double. Burkhart had two singles, and Masie Watkins picked up the victory, allowing four hits in the five-inning contest.
Portland Adventist committed seven errors in Game 1 and five in Game 2.
Softball postponedTuesday's Tillamook at Astoria softball game was postponed, and will be played Thursday at Lewis and Clark Grade School, time to be announced.
In other Cowapa League action Tuesday, Banks defeated Seaside 15-0, and Yamhill-Carlton edged Scappoose, 8-7.
Knappa softball at Wahkiakum was also rained out. The Loggers are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Marshall at 4 p..m. today.
