Seattle-based Washington Federal says it is acquiring six Bank of America branches in Oregon. All branches are located in the central and eastern parts of the state.

The banks are expected to completely transfer over to Washington Federal later this year. The company announced the move with its earnings report.

Washington Federal is acquiring other Bank of America branches in Washington, Idaho, and New Mexico, too.

The acquisitions will give Washington Federal a total of 236 branches.
