Selena McCarger, of Clatskanie, whose mother and stepfather are Kayan and Phil Escola, of Clatskanie, and whose father and stepmother are Lindsey and Lucinda McCarger, of Salem, exchanged wedding vows with Doug Knapp, of Clatskanie. The wedding was performed Dec. 20, 2004, at the Turtle Bay Resort on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The groom is the son of Danny and Judy Knapp, of Knappa.

The Rev. Brian Nurding of Hawaii performed the ceremony, which was held overlooking the ocean.

The bride wore a full, white strapless gown with navy blue trim and a long train with navy blue accents.

Matron of honor was Kristie Jenkins of Longview, Wash. Bridesmaids were Jolene Day of Clatskanie, Molly McCarger of Salem, Christina Knapp of Clatskanie and Jessica Knapp of Knappa. Junior bridesmaids were Karlee Day of Clatskanie and Lexi McCarger of Salem. Flower girls were Morgan Day and Gracie McCarger.

Best man was Josh Knapp, of Clatskanie. Groomsmen were Lindsey McCarger Jr., of Salem, Lukas McCarger of Salem and Tony Akin, of Westport.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Clatskanie High School and works at Coastal Family Clinic in Astoria.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Knappa High School and works at Olympic Forest Products in Mist.

A reception was held Jan. 29 in Clatskanie. In keeping with a Hawaiian wedding theme were hula dancers and a luau barbecue. The couple's aunt, Patty Boehm, of Astoria, made the chocolate truffle cake, and the couple's aunt, Diane Schafer, of Zoomnphoto Photography, came from San Diego, Calif., to take pictures.

The couple lives in Clatskanie.
