People living within the Astoria School District have until 5 p.m. Wednesday to register to vote in the July 6 special election, if they aren't already registered.

Voters in the school district will decide whether to recall four Astoria School Board members. The school district includes precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 21, 29, 31, 36 and 46.

Residents of the school district who are U.S. citizens and will be at least 18 by July 6 may register to vote in this election. Those who register by mail must provide a copy of their driver's license, state-issued identification, a pay check stub, utility bill, bank statement or other government document with their name and address.

People registered to vote in Oregon and recently moved into the school district can update their registration until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Clatsop County Elections Division will mail ballots to registered voters in the school district starting June 18.

For more information, contact the Elections Division in the Clatsop County Courthouse, 749 Commercial St., Astoria or call 325-8511.
