SOUTH BEND, Wash. - Kathi Deanne Miller was sentenced to 33 months in prison Friday in Pacific County Superior Court after being found guilty on eight charges of first-degree theft and one charge of second-degree theft. She was ordered to pay restitution of more than $300,000.
Miller, 48, was the manager of Pacific County Title Company in South Bend. She wrote checks on the company's account to cover her personal expenses, involving transactions between 2003 and 2008, and totaling more than $300,000. After she was arrested in October 2008, a lengthy investigation and audit resulted in the charges.
