Big River Excavating, the city's contractor for the Combined Sewer Overflow Smith Point Storage Project, continues work next week on Marine Drive near the roundabout.

Work scheduled includes preparation for the start of pipe-laying activity.

The top of the structure will be poured then backfilled. Motorists should use caution and reduce speed when in this work zone. Efforts are being made by the city and Big River Excavating to maintain customer access to businesses.

The Combined Sewer Overflow Separation Project is nearing completion of work in the south Astoria area.

Crews will be installing the remaining portion of storm pipe at Fourth Street and Hobson Avenue. Clean-up and pavement restoration will follow. Minor traffic delays can be expected.
