Astoria
May 8, 1947 — Feb. 23, 2016
Jack lived a life of service, beginning with serving his country for 20 years as a proud member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Thirty-five years ago, Jack began a new chapter in his life of service by dedicating himself to helping countless others to achieve a life of serenity and peace. He left a legacy behind, and showed many how to have love and compassion for all.
Jack had 20 beautiful years with his best friend, Betty, and they lived a life of laughter, love and adventure.
For all his friends, the door was always open and the coffee was always on.
When you think of Jack, remember that Hollywood smile, “The purpose” to “do the deal” and to “carry the message.”
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Betty; three children, Kelly Kauer, Matt Hogan and Amy Hogan; his other children, Michael O’Connor and Tamera Race; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Please join us for “Our Walk with Jack” Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Astoria Elks Lodge Ballroom. Bring your favorite dessert.
