George W. Andrews
Warrenton resident, 96George W. Andrews, 96, of Warrenton, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Astoria.
Mr. Andrews was born Nov. 12, 1908 in Alton, Mo., to Cornelius Lee Andrews and Elsie Adeline Dills Andrews. He was raised in Missouri. He worked with the railroad, in plywood mills and seafood canneries.
Mr. Andrews married Ninfa Palomata in 1982 in the Philippines. She survives, residing in Warrenton.
Mr. Andrews enjoyed gardening, writing poetry, reading and the company of his pets. Family members said he was very friendly, likable and helpful.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Andrews is survived by two sons, Floyd Andrews of Blaine, Wash., and Robert Andrews of Klamath Falls; 10 grandchildren, Irene Scott and Richie DeLos Reyes, both of Blaine, Crystal Andrews of Klamath Falls, Hans, Lemelie, Jun Jun, Ira and Eric Palomata, all of Las Vegas, and Wesley DeLos Reyes and Yoly Mae Lum, both of Howard, Calif.; two great-grandsons, Teddy Joe Scott and Justin Scott, both of Blaine; one sister-in-law, Alma Andrews of Blaine; four brothers- and three sisters-in-law, Noel and Agness Palomata of Lancaster, Calif., Jun Palomata and Melvin and Liwayway Palomata, all of Las Vegas; and Amabil and Imelda Palomata of the Philippines; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton.
