Lawrence 'Larry' Fallas
Truck driver, 87Lawrence "Larry" Fallas, 87, of Warrenton, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in St. Helens, after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Fallas was born May 18, 1915 in Portland, to Norton Burl Fallas and Linnie Francis Shaw.
On June 8, 2001, he married Idella Braught. She survives, residing in Warrenton.
Mr. Fallas started work at an early age by delivering newspapers and groceries in Portland. He then drove a gas tanker before purchasing a convoy to deliver cars to auto dealers throughout the Western states. He later drove a Franz Bakery truck until retirement. He enjoyed camping, taking his trailer throughout the northwest, and his model railroad.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie and Frank Reinhard of Tillamook and Laurie and John Nylund of Lake Oswego; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Lynette Braught of Scappoose; a step-daughter, Susan Martin of Washington; two grandchildren, Amy Valencia and Ryan Gobel, both of Tillamook; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. His wives Jeanette and Betty both died earlier.
Memorial is 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tillamook.
