Norman Lee Fletcher

Seaside resident, 89Norman Lee Fletcher, 89, of Seaside, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 in Warrenton.

Mr. Fletcher was born Jan. 31, 1914 in Portland to Edward Fletcher and Mary Ellen Deaton Fletcher. He graduated from Jefferson High School and attended the University of Oregon.

Mr. Fletcher moved to Seaside in 1976. Family members say he was a great conversationalist and was known for his ability to remember things. He never married.

Mr. Fletcher is survived by a first cousin and his wife, David and Margaret Shaeffer of Snohomish, Wash.

A funeral is 10 a.m. Friday at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary Chapel in Seaside. Burial at Rose City Cemetery in Portland is private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lower Columbia Hospice or Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, in care of Hughes-Ransom Cremation & Mortuaries, 220 N. Hollady Drive, Seaside, OR 97138.
