Steve Wayne Grant

Fisherman, 54Steve Wayne Grant, 54, of Warrenton, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, in Portland.

Mr. Grant was born to Jacqueline and James R. Grant Feb. 2, 1951, in Lebanon, Ind. His father survives, living in Delaware, Ohio. His mother preceded him in death.

Raised in Delaware, Ohio, Mr. Grant attended Rutherford B. Hayes High School and worked for years for cable companies throughout the country.

In 1980, Mr. Grant moved to Clatsop County. He was a licensed fisherman, owned his own boat and worked as a mechanic and maintenance man. He enjoyed billiards and horseshoes.

In addition to his father, Mr. Grant is survived by two brothers, Roger Grant of Olney, Md. and Mark Grant of Ojai, Calif.

A gathering of friends will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with potluck and horseshoes. For information and location, contact Nancy Hudson at 325-3744.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Grant's name to the American Cancer Society.
