William Edward Hader

Former resident, 84William Edward Hader, of Woodburn, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, in Woodburn.

Mr. Hader was born March 17, 1921 in Bertrand, Neb.

He married Mary M. Norton in 1944 at Sand Point, Wash. She survives.

During World War II, Mr. Hader served in the U.S. Navy. He was a lineman, splicer and installer for AT&T and Pacific NW Bell. He lived in Astoria and Corvallis before moving to Woodburn eight years ago.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hader is survived by two daughters, Patricia Vanvoorhis-Barbano and Joan Balenkowski.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
