Cozette May Halsan

Former resident, 80Cozette May Halsan, of Milnor, N.D., died Thursday, May 27, 2004, in Fargo, N.D.

She was born July 6, 1923, in Portland, to Roy A. And Laura A. Osborn. She married Sigfried A. Halsan Jan. 20, 1940 in Vancouver, Wash. He died December 21, 1990.

The Halsans lived in Astoria and Seaside. Mrs. Halsan moved to Milnor in 1994.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharette and Milton Odegard of Milnor and Karla and Clifford Mattila of Silverlake, Wash.; five grandchildren, Collette Maltman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Seaside, Milton Odegard Jr. and his wife, Tracie, of Albertville, Minn., Eric Odegard of Fergus Falls, Minn., Gretchen Mattila of Seattle and Allen Mattila and his wife, Amy, of Seattle; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carmen Young and Gloria Hansen; and two cousins, Delores Berg and George Scouten.

No service will be held.

Interment is today at Riverview Abbey in Portland.

Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo is in charge of arrangements.
