Helen Rae T. "Auntie" Alnas, 67, of Hollister, Calif., died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in Seaside.
She was born Sept. 8, 1939, to Adrian and Minnie (Costa) Tabaldo in French Camp, Calif. She grew up in Stockton, Calif.
On December 12, 1955, she married Joseph Alnas in El Centro, Calif. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Alnas lived in San Juan Batista, Calif., much of her life, until she came to Seaside for an extended visit in 2006, to help in the family restaurant.
Family members said she enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Alnas is survived by two sons, Joe Alnas Jr. of Hollister and Gregory Alnas of Marina, Calif.; two grandchildren, Joe Alnas of Hollister and Marissa Alnas of Los Angeles; a sister, Joyce Thieme of Seaside; a brother, Adrian Tabaldo of Gardnerville, Nev.; a niece and nephew, Kris and Tim Parks of Seaside; and several grandnephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Alnas.
A memorial will be held in California.
