Dwight Thomas Holland
College student, 19Dwight Thomas Holland, 19, of Seaside died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Arch Cape, as a result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Holland was born May 22, 1985 in Leavenworth, Wash., to Jay and Laura Noteboom Holland. His parents survive, residing in Seaside.
Mr. Holland's family lived in Plain, Cashmere and Longview, Wash. before moving to Seaside when he was 4 years old.
Mr. Holland graduated from Seaside High School in 2003. At the time of his death, he was attending Clatsop Community College on full academic scholarships, with an emphasis on mathematics. He worked as a Pizza Hut delivery driver in Seaside and recently had been working at the Highlands Golf Course in Gearhart.
Mr. Holland attended North Coast Family Fellowship, where he was a member of the Worship Technical Team - operating the computer Powerpoint programs for the Sunday morning services.
Family members say Mr. Holland was known for his great sense of humor and his practical jokes. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, basketball and online computer games with friends. He also loved snow skiing, boogie boarding and watching movies.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Holland is survived by a brother, Drew Holland, of Seaside; grandparents, Bill and Velma Noteboom, of Longview; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Thursday at North Coast Family Fellowship, 2245 N. Wahanna Road, Seaside.
