Lillian E. Hermanson, 90, of Astoria, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in Astoria.

She was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Cathlamet, Wash., to Johan and Rosa (Adamople) Carlson. She attended Lewis and Clark Junior High School and Astoria High School.

In 1937, she married Edgar Hermanson. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Mrs. Hermanson was a secretary at Ed Fearey Insurance for 40 years.

Active in Loaves and Fishes for many years, she was also a lifetime member of the Astoria Senior Center.

Family members said she loved watching sports on TV and her Thursday card games with friends.

Mrs. Hermanson is survived by a niece, Rosemary Avery of Beaverton; and three grand-nieces, Susan Huskey of Lynden, Wash., Lynda Mollick of Issaquah, Wash., and Nancy Nichols of Beaverton.

There will be no service at Mrs. Hermanson's request.

A private burial will take place at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lower Columbia Hospice, in care of Hughes-Ransom Cremation & Mortuaries, 576 12th St., Astoria, OR 97103.
