Robert 'Bob' Girod Mangin II

Construction worker, 41Robert "Bob" Girod Mangin II, 41, of Astoria, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, in Astoria.

Mr. Mangin was born April 29, 1961, in Redbank, N.J., to Robert and Patricia Kelley Mangin. His mother survives, residing in Auburn, Wash.

On Aug. 2, 2001, he married Shawnae Michelle Morgan in Astoria. She survives, residing in Astoria.

Mr. Mangin grew up in the Lewis and Clark area and attended Astoria High School and Clatsop Community College. He worked in construction and enjoyed woodworking. Family members say he was a caring man who never held a grudge.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Shirley Feleena Morgan of Astoria; a son, Lawrence Ervin "Larry" Morgan of Astoria; two sisters, Dana Richcreek of Auburn and Leslie Stuart of Medford; two sisters-in-law, Renee Williams of Astoria and Sherri Williams of Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and gathering of friends is 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, in Astoria.
