Margie Frances Wuorinen, 76, of Naselle, Wash., died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Warrenton.
She was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Corvallis, to Herman and Margie (Pluard) Treichler. She was raised in Corvallis and in Alsea, and graduated from Corvallis High School. After high school, she moved to Long Beach, Wash., and worked as an aide at Ocean View Convalescent Center.
She married Bill Wuorinen Sept. 16, 1958, in South Bend, Wash. He survives, residing in Naselle. Soon after the marriage, they settled in Naselle.
In past years, Mrs. Wuorinen was a Cub Scout leader. She attended the Friday Club at the Naselle Congregational Church.
Family members said she was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, clamming and travels in the couple's trailer. She also enjoyed making dolls and doll clothes.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wuorinen is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ray Goguen of Long Beach; two sons, William Wuorinen of Missoula, Mont., and Terrance Wayman of Seattle; a sister, Aletta Evans of Vancouver, Wash.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma March, and three brothers, Fred, Royston and Albert Treichler.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Penttila's Chapel by The Sea in Long Beach.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Peaceful Hill Cemetery in Naselle. A luncheon reception will follow at the Naselle Congregational Church.
