Marny Philippon, 64, of Seaside, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at home, of lung cancer.

She was born Sept. 18, 1944, in Yakima, Wash., to Dr. Persh Blake and Marion Blake. Her mother survives, residing in Seaside. Her father preceded her in death.

In 1964, she married Robert Warren. They later divorced.

In 1989, she married Paul Philippon. He survives, residing in Seaside.

Mrs. Philippon worked for Prudential Insurance for 14 years, and Bank of America for seven years.

Family members said she was an avid reader and loved to garden. She also loved to spend time with her family and her cats. She had a strong passion for adventure, and recently had a fighter-pilot jet-flying experience. She enjoyed traveling all around the world.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kristi and Phil Skiba of Portland and Laura Warren of New Castle, Colo.; three grandchildren, Bridgette and Hayden Skiba and Brandon Blake Warren; a sister, Mary Blake of Seaside; and a nephew, Jesse Blake of Seaside.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Blake.

A private service will be held Saturday.
