Mary Wanda Hart, 94, of Seaside, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, in Seaside.

She was born Jan. 3, 1915, in Stillwater, Okla., to Charles and Zelma Berry.

In 1936, she obtained a teaching degree from Edmond Teachers College.

She married Clifford Hart in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Mrs. Hart was a grade school teacher who taught in Cannon Beach, Warrenton and Seaside. She retired in 1978. After retiring, she started working for, and was president of, Tri-City Spay and Neuter.

She was a member of the Elks Emblem Club and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.

Family members said she loved animals, especially dogs.

She is survived by great-nieces and great-nephews in California and Oklahoma; a niece, Karen Rossi of Seaside; and two nephews, Harold Amey of Gladstone and Russell Amey of Tillamook.

At Mrs. Hart's request, no service will be held.
