Robert P. McCallum Sr.

Merchant Marine, 79Robert P. McCallum Sr., 79, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Seaside, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in Las Vegas.

Mr. McCallum was born Aug. 14, 1924, in San Leandro, Calif. to Robert E. and Beatrice Eva Davis McCallum. He married Norma Jeannoutot in 1974. She survives, living in Las Vegas.

A resident of Seaside for 12 years, Mr. McCallum was a retired Merchant Marine chief engineer, a World War II veteran, a stock broker, and a member of the Masons-Scottish Rite Bodies and the Association of Realtors.

Mr. McCallum is survived by his wife, Norma; five daughters; four sons; a sister; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 1425 N.E. Irving, Suite 100, Portland, OR 97232.

A memorial is 11 a.m. Saturday at Bateman-Carroll Mortuary, 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, with a private graveside service afterward.
