Sally E. Morris

Astoria native, 103Sally E. Morris, 103, of Astoria, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 in Astoria.

Mrs. Morris was born Feb. 19, 1900 in Astoria to Otto and Ida Nelson. She grew up in Astoria and attended the old Adair School. She married Syd Cordiner, who died in in 1960. Later, she married Paul Morris. He also died earlier.

Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and mother and lived independently until the last few months of her life. Family members say she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and working with her plants.

Survivors include three sons, Syd Cordiner Jr. of Albany, Bob Cordiner of Astoria and Roger Cordiner of Buckley, Wash.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A private memorial will be followed by private interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Astoria. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.

Hughes-Ransom Mortuary and Crematory in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
