Dorothy Emaline Noles

Waitress, 92Dorothy Emaline Noles, 92, of Hillsboro, died Friday, June 11, 2004 in Tigard.

Mrs. Noles was born Sept. 11, 1911 in Winters, Calif. to Hattie (Emerick ) and Frank Baillard.

She lived in Portland from 1937 to 1980 and moved to Jewell for the next 20 years before moving to Hillsboro. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Tigard. She was a waitress and cook at the Canton Grill in Portland and worked at Central Catholic High School. She was a member of the waitress and cooks union.

Mrs. Noles is survived by one son, William Noles of Albany; two daughters, Sylvia Palm of Milwaukie and Jan Carney of Tigard; two sisters, Bertha Baillard of Palm Springs, Calif., and Vanita Whyte of Scio; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Two sons, David and James Noles, died earlier.

A service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 9905 S.W. McKenzie in Tigard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 N.E. Columbia Blvd., Portland, OR 97221.

Young's Funeral Home in Tigard is in charge of arrangements.
