Robert Henry "Bob" Maki, 70, of Seaside, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Astoria.

He was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Astoria, to Oretha Mable Zimmerman and Jack U. Maki.

In 1958, he graduated from Seaside High School.

He served in the U.S. Army

He married Jutta A.T. Reichardt in Frankfurt, Germany.

Mr. Maki was an entertainer and salesman. He retired in 2003.

Family members said he loved to fish.

He is survived by a brother, Dennis Maki of Beaverton; a son, Brian Maki of Warrenton; two nephews and their families, Michael Maki of Lake Oswego and Terry Bassett of Seaside; and a sister-in-law and family, Helen Maki of Beaverton.

A private service was held.
